Intel Core i5-3210M Computer Technology

The recent Intel Core i5-3210M laptop device features dual core processor base on the new Intel Ivy Bridge architecture with with Intel HD Graphics 4000 technology. It comes with Hyper Threading technology to handle up to four threads at once for enhanced usage of CPU. Each of the two core of this Intel Core i5-3210M processor that runs at the base clock speed of 2.5GHz but because it supports Turbo Boost technology it can dynamically upsurge clock speed up to 2.9 GHz when 2 cores are activated and 3.1 GHz when only one of the cores is activated.

Also, the Intel Core i5-3210M dual core processor is created using the 22 nanometer technology. This processor introduced 3D transistors for better energy efficiency in comparison to Sandy Bridge processors that runs on the same frequency. Some other features of this processor includes integrated PCI Express 3.0 and DDR3(L)-1600 support.

Moreover, this 3rd Generation Intel Core i5-3210M dual core processor has an integrated graphics controller called Intel HD Graphics 4000 that features 16 Execution Units which is clocked at about 650 MHz up to 1200 MHz because of Turbo Boost in the GPU side. This new Integrated GPU is more powerful compared to the GPU found in 2nd Generation Sandy Bridge processor.

Additionally, the Core i5-3210M has 128 KB level cache, 512 KB Level 2 Cache, and 3072 KB Level 3 Cache. It has a Thermal Design Power (TDP) of about 35 Watts which makes it best suited for notebook PCs with large screen size.
